Doggy play pens are a great way to give your pet a safe and comfortable environment whilst house training or confining your pet to a single area away from causing mischief. However, dogs and Puppies should not be left unsupervised within their pen for extended periods. Incorrect use of a play pen can lead to your pet becoming distressed which can lead to destructive behaviour. If you have any concerns over using a puppy pen please remember to consult with your vet.

To begin using the pen with your puppy or pet we suggest the following:
- First accustom your pet with the pen by gently coaxing them inside with treats or their favourite toy, gradually closing the door for short periods each time.
- Repeat daily; steadily increasing the time your pet spends within the pen. Always feed, exercise and allow your pet to relieve themselves prior to leaving them for any period of time.
- Ensure your pet has an area of blankets or comfy bedding, this will encourage your pet to feel secure and relaxed in the pen.
- Your pet should be able to comfortably stand up, sit down and turn around within the pen.
- Most importantly, never use the pen as a place of punishment, as this will lead your pet to associate the pen with negative behaviour.
For use inside and outside of your home.
